Planted from seed

Seedlings raised and planted on land that used to be cattle pasture. No forest was cleared to make room.

Milled in Darién, Panama

Cut at our own mill in Darién, close to where it grew, instead of leaving the country as a raw log.

We believe some paths aren't meant to be followed. They're meant to be carved.

The easy road was to ship our teak trees out as raw logs and let a factory somewhere else do the rest.
We chose our own way instead.
One tree at a time. One board at a time.

Building our mill meant breaking new ground in Darién.
We earned the region's first fully compliant Federal Environmental Assessment Approval for an agroforestry construction permit in the Panamanian province of Darién.

Because you deserve to know exactly what you're bringing into your home. We believe the best things come from a journey you can follow: from the farm, to our sawmill, to the hands that crafted your board.

Quality is everything

The best boards start with the best wood.

Wood is a crop. Where it grew, how it was cut and how it was dried all end up on your counter.

  • Rows of mature teak on the farm

    Grown slow in Darién

A long dry season, deep river soil and steady warmth. The conditions teak loves.

  • A teak log opening on the saw at our mill

A crew taught to read the grain

We hire people who've never worked in a sawmill, on purpose. No bad habits to unlearn, so they treat teak as something precious from day one.

  • A craftsman sanding a board in our workshop

    Finished by hand

Full-length planks, sanded smooth and given an all-natural, food-safe finish, one board at a time.
